Yeah, thanks ever so much for the flood of helpful replies.

Anyway, it doesn't matter now - I've bought an HTC Touch Pro 2 now.

Excellent, IMHO. I tried this and the iPhone and preferred this. The
only one thing is that the battery cover feels flimsy compared to the
rest of the phone.
