8539/40/41: full power mux appears on ch47, 18dB above the HD mux
8542/3: full set of full power muxes, plus the normal HD mux and C5

8550: level of C5 analogue (compare with new muxes)
8551/2/3/4/5: a closer look at the new muxes.
So, yes, it’s really going to happen. The new muxes will be around 12dB
stronger than the existing ones. It’s foggy tonight, so I can’t see if
the red lights on the mast are 12dB brighter as well.
I wonder what happened at Belmont when these tests were going on. If it
stayed on the air I should think reception of the ch48 mux must have
been a bit ropey in the north-western part of the coverage area...

The worry was how the older (i.e. non-DSO prepared) sites would
respond to the PRBS sent out during the tests and if they would
come back on when analogue was restored at 05:00.
To everyone's amazement every single one came up correctly. Not
bad considering much of it is 30+ years (or more!) old. They
don't make 'em like that any more!

How many of Emley's relay sites are still left to upgrade for DSO now ?

Please replace invalid and invalid with gmx and net to reply.
PRBS? Google suggests Pseudo-Random Binary Sequence which may fit the context, but I don't know.

Just received this report from a Freeview viewer.
"My Freeview has turned to black and white after the outage.
Has anyone else experienced this or is it just my old Freeview box that's
knackered? "
Any other reports of this effect?
Regards
David
Finger trouble I would say.
A common cause of no colour is plugging the STB into a SCART socket that has
been configured for Y/C input

As of today should be zero. The last two - Ripponden and Edale -
were due this week but I haven't heard if they were done,
especially the latter where there are major access problems.
Yes yes.
