Fantastic performance by S S to destroy the field in the Champion chase today , leaving Sizing Europe 19 lengths away in second , not even breathing hard coming into the winners enclosure, wonderful and a privilege to watch , now 8/8 !

Cannot say the same for Channel 4 with their ridiculous graphics, screaching interviewers a la Plunket, impossible to understand nasal Fitzgerald, and as for the camera work, well as bad if not worse, pointless head on replays,or replays showing a jockey and a horse`s ears ffs horses WIN races ! I give up, and all this after the boss of the company said "we are listening to viewers and making changes" may I suggest he renews his hearing aid batteries ?

Yesterday I had C4 on my TV and RUK on my computer. The RUK angles were
different and to my mind not so good.
I had both on to judge which had the least time delay as on Saturday C4
was a good five seconds behind the pictures on Betfair TV. Not much good
for in running punters.
I always read Alan King's column in Weekender but seldom ever back any
as he is always very vague about his entries and runners. Those he
mentions are all in the perhaps or at best definitely maybe category.
He certainly had a good result with his second 'possibly' choice today.

Indeed. I wonder when the last time was that one of the four major
Cheltenham races was won by such a distance. The best two mile chaser
since Flyingboty? Even the best ever?

I have to disagree with you. I like Alice Plunkett. I think she's
lovely. I can understand Fitzgerald OK, but I sometimes struggle with
Ted Walsh's accent. I'm not a fan of Rishi Persaud, but otherwise I
think the current team is pretty good, though I miss John Francome and
Alastair Down in particular.

The camerawork has sometimes been less than ideal, I agree. Hopefully it
will improve as the new production team gains experience.

Congratulations to Tanya Stevenson on being brave enough to give us a
medical report on John McCririck and to wish him well, especially given
that his wife apparently was blaming C4 when he was taken ill.

Oops. That should read Flyingbolt, of course.

I must admit that I was thinking of FLYINGBOLT as I watched SPRINTER SACRE storm away up the hill :-D Fantastic horse possibly second only to "himself"
wonder if Sprinter Sacre will run in the GC this week as Flyingbolt did finishing 3rd...absolute headcase but a wonderful chaser ah memories..

Presumably all of the broadcasters get the same pictures but each
producer chooses the one they want to broadcast.
Presumably Mac got a bit too uptight about not being part of the main
event.Really at his age he should be thinking about retiring. He often
looks a bit shaky as if he has had a few TIA's.
