Christmas would be _so_ nice with a round of golf :-(
Quite unusually for December, we have -10 to -15 Celsius and at least an
inch of powder (!) snow. No chance to play, even with red balls!
Do you know this one?
Two penguins are standing at the beginning of their snow-and-ice golf
course, a red ball on the tee. One says: "Can you believe it? There's a
rumour abroad that they use white balls elsewhere?!?"

Ouch! Traffic must be quite interesting in your area!
The main miracle here is that there _is_ snow in December (1) - it may
become one of the rare "White Christmas" occasions! Powder snow is even
more unusual because we aren't used to have snowfall at -8 Celsius and
below.
(1) Usually there is a little snow in November and more in January
and/or February only.

Black and blue maybe good in the snow, but green? <shudder>
Imagine you drive to a snow-free spot...
I once received a dozen Taylormade "ice" balls as a gift, three each
of different colours. Yellow, orange, pink were nice holiday balls in
Morocco, but green? Who would design green balls and expect to sell them???
Many people use yellow or orange balls in the winter tourneys. That is why
I bought some pink and dark red ones. Plus they are ladies' balls, possibly
a bit softer when cold.

very normal green grass- white balls , white snow- green balls , perfect
sense.
