I just started using course yardage books, and hot damn, I'm a believer. I'm
sharing this because I think anyone who's serious about improving their game
and wants a simple way to do so, should use a course yardage book. My game
has never been this focused! One company sells generic CYB's which allow you
map out any course you play. It takes a little time, but what you gain is
worth the time put in. Tell me if you want their web address. I hate the
spamming and unwanted junk mail that's been going on recently.

Take care Y'all.

What is a course yardage book... and how would I use it?

Thanks!

It is map of each hole, normally a top view, showing distances from the tee
to landmarks, e.g. bunkers / trees / etc., and also the distances back from
the green to landmarks.

I find these books extremely useful because;
1. I am a very bad judge of distance and
2. Sometimes there are hidden hazards e.g. a ditch which you cannot see on
the course.
