4 minutes of extra time and they score in the 96th WTF ?
No wonder taggert was practically high fiving the 'assistant' ref on the
touchline !
C**TS.
I so hope there's an inquiry into this. There'd been 3 subs when the 4 mins
board went up. Each sub = 30 secs, so that's already 2 and a half minutes of
play being stopped. I don't remember ANY in the 2nd half. Then another sub.
Another 30 secs only this time it's another 3 minutes.
First half we should have been ahead; second half they battered us. Fair
enough. No problem. We would've been lucky with a draw really, but a draw is
the actual fair result. SOMEBODY OWES US AN EXPLANATION and if one isn't
forthcoming SOMEBODY OWES FOOTBALL AN INQUIRY and that's not just me being
"bitter". I am utterly disgusted at what I've just seen.

Surely you're not surprised?
Everybody knows Man United have been getting away with this for years.
Fully agree. Dis-appointed though that we didn't play until the
whistle and criminal leaving Owen unmarked at the back stick.
You forgot to add the two goals scored after the board went up that adds to
injury time. Hope that helps.
Nope not even close.
The scouser scored for you in the 96th - geddit ?
The purpose of injury time is to add time for delays in the game like subs
and goals. The decision on the four minutes was taken before the goal. This
is quite obvious seeing as the goal was scored after the board went up so
additional minutes needed adding Official time of belemys goal - 89:58
restart - 91:18.
If you wish to be pedantic 1 minute 18 secs wasted injury time then ad the
30 secs of sub then you have your time. before utd score.
Have a nice pint (of Bitter) and calm down...

At 3-3 how is extra time more of a benefit to us than City? That time
was there for either team to take the initiative with and win the game.
Or was you hoping for a draw? See, that's the different between
champions and pretenders to the crown.....we play for 90+.
Yes...you ARE being bitter, and trying to overshadow one of the best
derby games this league has seen in years (which luckily enough was
televised all over the world) by nitpicking over added time (that was an
equal benefit to both teams....see above) is a shockingly bad show. Tut tut!

Well, actually we played for about 30 mins in the first half and not much
more. And I never said anything about it being of benefit to anyone, just
about it being unfair.

Sorry, I'm trying to talk about things in a non-partisan way. Yes the extra
time was there for both of us, but a football match is 90 mins plus stoppage
time. Had that been the case then we would have taken an undeserved draw
away. But that's not what happened. We played SEVEN minutes for a match with
four subs (2 mins added time) and not a lot of other stoppages.

Mmm...bar OTT goal celebrations by City players ya mean? :) (Bellemy's
2nd was even over 1 minute). The added time was correct...someone on SSN
went through it all...it added up. Did seem a lot, but it adds up.
Anyway, the best team won and the world has been reminded that football
is the best game on the planet, and that the Premiership is the best
league on the planet. As a Mancunian I'm well proud...and would have
said the same win, lose or draw. Top, top game.
They do if the ref decides the celebration was excessive.
Not odd at all refs are inconsistent they are human not machines. Besides
excessive is a very loose word what is excessive to one ref may not be to
another. Many of the rules of footy are interpretation its what gets us all
arguing about last minute winners deep into acceptable/excessive injury time
;-)
I genuinely didn't think it was a great game !
Looked like two prem teams with rank poor defences.
Only Reds and neutrals think it was a classic ?
Have to agree on the shocking defending but cant say it didnt get the heart
pumping.
No, there's correct and incorrect interpretations, and you happen to
be misinterpreting every fucking rule you can find and simply
inventing other rules that don't exist at all to add on time that
shouldn't have been added on.
You're at least 30 seconds short, and that's including the full 45
seconds for the goal celebration, so if you're allowed say 15 seconds
to celebrate a goal you're about a minute short.
Allowance is made in either period for all time lost through:
. substitutions
. assessment of injury to players
. removal of injured players from the fi eld of play for treatment
. wasting time
. any other cause
The allowance for time lost is at the discretion of the referee.
Clue
any other cause
discretion of the ref
You nailed yourself.
>You're at least 30 seconds short, and that's including the full 45

4 minutes *minimum* he may of been adding on 4 minutes 59 seconds. But hey
wallow bitter.
Pure fucking bullshit. The ref can't just add on another minute
because he wants to. There needs to be a reason, so unless you can
find a reason for any additional time it's you who're screwed, because
you can't account for all the time taht was added on.

It's not bitter to complain about cheating.
C'mon....you *know* if Bellamy popped in a city winner at 3-3 there
would be no complaints about added time and you would be hailing it as
the best derby in years. Such is football.

1:20 for goal (the ball went dead when it hit the back of the net and was
alive when restarted nearly one and a half minutes later.)
0:30 for sub
all of which the ref was perfectly within his right to add. I fear we are
going in circles here.

It is when no one cheated.
Sure I'd be a lot happier today but I'd also be a bit more contrite about
the fact we scored so far into the imaginary stoppage time.

No. Bellamy's celebration was timed by the BBC at well over a minute.
There was also the Carrick substitution. The time added on was totally
legit.
If I was a city fan I'd be more worried about spending 200million and still
being run ragged by United for the entire second half.
