Crap forecast! 
  Dry with spells of warm sunshine was the forecast.........actual, cloudy and damp!! June did start quite sunny but even that's gone tits up again with just 12 hours in the last 8 days. Highest max so far this year, 20.9c on 7th June and 7th May. I'm sure Dawlish will be optimistic we will reach 21c sometime during this... more »

Remnants of French TS in Brussels - then sunny and warm 
  Brussels on Monday 17th June 2013 Morning mostly cloudy (As) but sky quite bright with very weak sunshine at times. Moderate rain 13.30 to 14.45 local time - I heard a single roll of thunder at 14.20. Cloud broke and cleared gradually after 15.00 and the afternoon then became sunny and warm but humid. BBC OTT on heatwave? 
  Peter Gibbs siad this morning that "Yes, there is a heatwave on the way". Well to me it looks like Wednesday could be quite hot but surely it breaks down t he next day before we return to unsettled and average temperatures.
