Midsummers up on the West coast of Scotland ??

Do you mean the 21st or the 24th of June?

I ask because it's a common cause of confusion. The 21st June being the
summer solstice (Astronomical Date) , while the 24th June being
Midsummers Day (Quarter Day( Legal date))

That's true in Scandinavia, but I never realised it was true here.

thanks for the figures -- I have missed your reports and was wondering what
our ball park was. It was SOME rain here certainly.

OK. What about collecting the water and putting it in 25 litre
containers in readiness to sell to those in southern England when the
drought starts to bite them. Once you find a use for the water it is
bound to stop raining. :-)
