Good evening, everyone.

The expected cold wave crossed the northern border of Greece earlier
today and rain gave its way to snow for the first time this winter in
low lying areas of western Macedonia. Florina and Ptolemaida are
already reporting snowfalls. Snow has started to settle on the
"easiest" surfaces like cars:

Sleet was reported in areas of Thessaloniki, too.

The island of Limnos, in the NE Aegean has been reporting heavy snow
and fog since this morning. Wetteronline.de has been showing some
thunder activity in the area, too. Interesting to see this happen at
the beginning of November, hadn't happened for some years.
