But Colin's figures are for the 24 hours to 7pm BST. When you add in the
rain that fell prior to 7pm on Saturday then the total for the whole
event may have approached 70mm in some places.

Yes. I did notice - but forgot to mention - that Capel Curig had 137 mm
rain in 72 hours ending 19.00 BST on Sunday.
