Four people rather impressively managed to identify all eight objects.

Michael Richmann
Mike Humberston
Pete Lawrence
Stefan Lilge

Well done!

The correct answers were:
1. M 3

Globular in Canes Venatici. This one caused most problems for obvious
reasons. Not easy to tell them appart when so tightly cropped.

2. NGC 7479

Spiral galaxy in Pegasus.

3. M 109

Barred Spiral galaxy in Ursa Major

4. NGC 5866

The spindle galaxy in Draco. This also caused a bit of problem despite its
'high profile' as a candidate for M102.

5. Pleiades (M45).

6. M 104

The Sombrero Galaxy in Virgo

7. M 1

The Crab Nebula - Taurus

8. NGC 891

Edge on galaxy in Andromeda. The only other one to cause any real problems.

Thanks to everyone who entered.
