The general idea in most Christian churches and other organisations is
that the members give generously to help the organisation. That's
wonderful, but I cannot help feeling there are some individuals who
make very good earnings from the churches etc. It would be
interesting if the churches had to publish to whom they pay large fees
and salaries.

I had a look at the Church of England's accounts a year or two back
and noticed that some individuals (1 or 2) were receiving obscenely
high wages. I asked who these were but the church refused to say
claiming employer/employee confidentiality.

It might be worth looking at the accounts of various churches and
finding out who the ecclesiastical fat cats are.

Surely, if the members are expected to pay, they should know who is
benefitting from their giving.

Have you checked the salaries of higher positions in some of
the charities? Same issue.
