Sundry walking GPS Maps (Shropshire ROWs).
I've been absent from the NG for rather a long time, but I'm still going (if not 'strong'). Just thought I'd mention that Shropshire CC have now released their ROWs map as 'open data' and I've compiled a version for Garmin GPSs, which you can get at via: [link]... more »

Location of this photo?
Anyone able to identify the location of this photo please? It's one of many old downloads from Flickr using 'landscape' as keyword. I'm pretty sure it's in the UK but I'm curious as to where exactly. -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK

Waterproof bags
Well, I finally got pissed off, and have bought a Berghaus Vulcan, which I will have to adapt somewhat. I was hoping to reduce weight, not increase it, but .... However, as part of this I want some waterproof bags. Currently, I use multiple pedal bin liners, but am afraid that I need a bit... more »

Suede boots care advice needed
I'd appreciate some advice about looking after my Scarpa Infinity GTX boots. They appear to be basically fabric mesh (Cordura) with suede leather trim. I'm anxious to keep the leather in good condition and stop it drying out, but so far I've done nothing! The Scarpa website seems to recommend Nikwax Nubuck & Suede Proof, but... more »

Brig o’ Turk and Loch Venachar
Will be visiting Callander in a few weeks time and looking for some help on a walking route from Brig o Turk and along the south shore of Loch Venachar to Callander. Looking at the map there is parking on the south side of the A821 at the Brig o Turk, I was wondering if there was public access to cross the... more »
