Sad news from Derbyshire

Those familar with Lathkildale and other walks round Monyash may be
familiar with the Smithy Hikers Cafe. Unfortunately, Ed Driscoll, the
proprietor, died suddenly last Saturday.
I do hope those who knew him with send their sympathy to his wife,
Ruth, and the rest of the family.

Yes, I heard about this last weekend as his brother lives in our village.
Sad news. One of the best breakfasts in the Peak (second only to a
full Monsal). His band Smithy's Brew were favourites at our local.

My wife and I were in there a couple of weeks ago. Lathkildale is
our not sure where to go fall-back walk, a great favourite. We
always start and end at the café.

A sad loss.
