They're fine, given the usual Big Caveat: they have to fit /your/ feet
well. To see if they do, try some on...

I gave them a try a few years ago. Very comortable, not particularly
waterproof and didn't last as long as say my Meindles but at the price
difference very good.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been thinking of getting some Hi-Tec for local
walking - I prefer to limit the 'contaminants' on good boots to Herdwick and
the like!
