Anyone know anything about a bunker in Lane End Buckinghamshire,Nr High
Wycombe?
Just wondered if there is anything worth going to look at,it's supposed to
be an old one(nothing to do with strike command)?

I live 3 miles from Lane End - where exactly? In the Conference Centre??
In the small industrial estate? Private or public?

Do you have a grid ref??

with reckons that years ago, was employed to weld various steel
doors(along with others). He mentioned this lane end bunker.I know nothing at
all about it.Perhaps it's just another silly rumour?I think it was supposed
to be government one.

Could this be some cryptic clue about something housed inside as a stand-by
time piece for the nation to use, post device burst or something?

Jim.

I think he means "Check your clock". The date is one day ahead of everyone
else ! Check your system clock, and unless you're over the date/time line
you may wish to reset it.

Regards

Some thought about never look a gift horse in the mouth springs to mind
here!!!

Although I thought that we might crack the enigmatic clue, in the end!!!

To get back to the question, WHERE could such a bunker be hidden in the area
& what precise purpose would it serve, apart from being some sort of annex
for High Wycombe facility or the Backbone tower?

The obvious bit is the Conference Centre. There are a number of fields
around the area, an industrial estate that could conceal something, who
knows where else?

Comments / ideas anyone?

I'll post this to the closed SB RSG list for further help.

It's the time setting on your pc, which is date-stamping your posts wrongly.
Look at this thread, it appears that some of the replies were sent before
your original question was posted.

(For a windows system, you need to use control panel to reset time)

Or you could just right click on the clock in the corner of the screen and
select "Adjust Date/Time"
