To quote something I saw written on another website, whilst there is a great deal of discussion about the good and bad points of "urban exploration", the problem is that it has gained a bad reputation in many quarters over the last few years, as a result of a small number of people not respecting the laws of the land regarding property rights.

28DL was a good site, but what people sometimes get up to is against the Law. They put themselves and others in danger too with respect to Health & Safety, or even having to be rescued/treated for injuries.

And caving doesn't put anyone at risk of course. Nor rock climbing for that matter.

Judging by what was discussed on 28DL (and I was a member) H&S did play a great role, more so than some cavers I've been with.

You miss my point. Urbex is not of itself any more dangerous than caving or rock climbing (and both are safer than horse riding). The volunteer status or not of any rescuer is also irrelevant, you join the fire brigade knowing full well your skills are most likely to be required in hazardous conditions.
