I've just ditched it and gone back to version 4. Noted system problems,
several occasions when it wanted to send a crash report, and to add insult
to injury when i tried to update to the latest version to see if it would
fix it, it hung on the reboot during installation, so I had to go into safe
mode and remove it.

We shall see. So far, at least one fault is not evident: after running
memory-intensive things, it was ending up in a state with SYSTEM using about
50% of the CPU and swapping like hootery, this despite the fact that
available unforgettory had not gone below about 40%. Only fix was a
restart.
it SEEMS like that isn't happening.
