Hello All,

I've been away for a very long time... what has happened to this
forum? It's full of Ad's for Nike shoes and pc security holes... very
sad!

Anyway, I used to do a bit of diving with Digs and Rob H back in the
day... a couple of weymouth trips with Al, sophie, etc... All when I
was at uni in Aberystwyth...

I've not been diving for about 3-4 years I think, but now I have a
proper job, and some real money, I'd like to get back into it... Any
cautionary tales welcomed...

Does anyone have any leads on a decent club in my area? I live near a
town called coalville in leicestershire, and work in Coventry, so
hinckley is a good middle place (near stoney cove..), It's be great to
join a club that had at least one ukrs member in it...

Thanks All.. Looking forward to coming back... does icebreakers still
happen at the cove?

usenet has pretty much died the death but you will find web activity on
places like http://www.yorkshire-divers.com/ which started as a regional
forum but seems to have evolved into the uk's most popular diving place.
You do have to sift the diving from the noise though...

I think I remember you. I think we were on an 'Our-W' trip out of Weymouth
together.

Indeed we were Nigel... Glad to see there's still a few of the
originals about... I did check out the ukrs homepgae, but alas, that
hasn't been updated since about 2003... shame.

I'll see what I can make of the YD forum... does ice breakers still
happen at the cove?
