Carolyn is endowed with lavish creature comforts and luxuries. It never
would occur to her that she'd be held responsible for a crime she did when
she was 17, buning a young woman to death. I suppose she justifies doing it
since her dad told her to, so she's not liable. Why would she be? She's
built a life for herself. I suppose she wants it all swept under the rug
and forgotten. Where is her dad? Jack Powelson? Maybe the coward should
come forward and take responsibility instead of pawning it off on Carolyn.
Why did he tell her to do that?

It's a little like picking a flower and burning it, isn't it?

There's no escuse.
