I had to laugh when I first saw this. When I saw the name I thought it was
Anthony Evans, although I've never met him this seemed such a dramatic
departure from his usual postings I just had to have a look at the website.

Isn't painting and decorating one of those things better done nude? Boiler
suits are only worn to protect the clothes underneath from getting paint
splattered anyway. The skin is easier to clean and it's is less sweaty
without clothes.
It amuses me why anyone would want to get dressed to paint and decorate.

Some solvents and paints etc. that may get splashed around could be
irritants on the skin.
I do recall once trying to wash old whitewash off a ceiling wearing
swimming trunks because of all the water dribbling down my arms. That
was in my pre naturist days.

Yes when using water based paints, but no for oil based paints. The
paint removers needed for oil based paints are not kind to the skin.

Creosote? Timber preservative?
Actually, I've been doing quite a lot of work on the house recently
without clothes. Mainly joinery and wiring in a south facing and
unfelted roof space that gets extremely hot. I was thinking of
converting the old wash house into a sauna, but that roof does quite
well anyway.

Horses for courses. IMO the *only* way to do a ceiling is naked!
