Tyred
|
| |
Now I remember why I don't change tyres anymore. I decided it was better to take the 21 inch Metzeler MX tyre off the spare wheel I obtained for the Old Gimmer's Hillclimber rather than just cutting the hub out. Don't know why really as it is going to be rebuilt anyway with a 17 or 18 inch rim. My trusty Heyco (from a BMW toolkit)tyre levers are a bit short, and... more »

BMW K series battery
|

So which one do I go for? The old Varta one is completely fucked so do I replace it with similar or go for a slightly dearer gel one? Bear in mind I might well be taking this bike to the arctic circle this winter so would the gel be a better bet in those conditions?

Free email (as in free beer, I suppose). Switching my elderly mum to a Vodafone PAYG dongle (from dial-up) so she'll need a free POPable/IMAPable email account. Preferably spam-filtered. Years since I've used one so what's the best and what's to avoid (I suppose one or two lines of text-only advertising would be acceptable).... more »

Q's about bikes in Blighty
|
| |
...and other drive-on-the-left countries such as New Zealand. 1. Do they have the throttle on the left and clutch on the right hand side of the bike? (ie, mirror images of the North American arrangement?) 2. If the throttle is still on the right, how do you wave at other bikers? 3. Do you wave at other bikers at all? Or are there so many on UK roads... more »
