Well a helmet cam actually. Totally road legal SV650 has a bit of a
moment.

Is that a big moment in hillclimbing? It looked like he just went a bit
wide and scuffed something at lowish speed, par for the course on every
journey if you ride round London.

Was his time a good or bad one?

Not really, TBF, but the consequences for going over the bales at just
that point might be fairly bad seeing as it is on the edge of a cliff.

Oh, bad. Even I can get up there quicker than that. Difficult to say how
much time it lost him though.

One sure way to tell if you could do better :)

CBR600 on Rennsports? Can I use tyre warmers?

Hartland is one of the hills you can take advantage of the NHCA 'have a
go' deal. Fee covers day membership and a day ACU licence (no medical or
training required). Noise limit is 105 db(A) IIRC, but at Hartland it's
pretty academic. Prescott is the only place they get a bit narked by
noisy bikes and always have a meter just up the track from the start.

Have a look here:

I reckon we should still get Bonners there on the KTM next spring if
someone can transport it for him.

What ever you like as long as it has two wheels and an engine. The guy
with the R1 usually gives Hartland a miss, but the supercharged Bandit
was probably there. No tyre warmers allowed. We decided that at an AGM
several years ago. You can use slicks if you are mad enough since last
year, but no warmers.

I wish I had gone now, but weather was so crap we left on Sunday am
rather than later.

I really wanted to do one this year but I'd started on power station
work before the first meeting and I've still got a few weeks to do
before I go into winter hibernation on defence of the realm.

It's been a long hard summer but I'll get some new toys and a holiday
or two so I don't really care...
