Can't find details for fork oil for this grey import. On other VFR's
according to the manuals they have different levels of fork oil between the
left and right fork, is this normal?????? Shurely shome mishtake!?!?
Anyone know of the quantity required. Please, pretty please.

Haynes Manual (worth the 18 quid) says:

Fork Oil Type: 10W Fork Oil

Capacity Level* Spring Free Length
VFR min (service limit)
K models 450cc 90mm n/a
L, M, N 390cc 122mm 277.3mm (271.8mm)
RVF 445cc 74mm 234.2mm (229.5mm)

Fork Tube Runout limit: 0.2mm

*Oil level is measured from the top of the tube with the
fork spring removed and the leg fully compressed.

as a rule (and this is only a general rule, mind) if it squirts through the
fork seals and out of the fork tops all over you, you've found the absolute
maximum limit. When it stops squirting out, remove the fork tops, measure
the free space and BAM you've got the perfect amount...

OK, I don't ACTUALLY know, but as a last resort you could get rid of it and
buy my (far superior) CBR400 off me!

Good luck
