The depth they're forecasting is increasing by 5cm every hour! It was
only 10cm at first, then 15cm...

Crazy, innit.
Over the last few months while I was in London it was always warmer down
there, very noticeably so.
Now, it is positively baking at around 5 degrees by 0830 in the mornings
up north.

I've just pointed out to my dear client that I'm not planning to wander

Excellent. I need to get some practice in on the Tenere.
It was sufficiently cold this morning [1] to put the liner back in my
jacket.
The HG Pathans got an outing, too.
[1] 2 degC, according to the display on the 13's dash.
The snow falling now is starting to settle.

yes yes, but we know we can't do snow.
I left 6 foot of the stuff in Geneva after a skiing trip and we couldn't
land
in Gatwick due to 2 inches of the stuff.

Ladies and Gentlemen... is their magnum opus, but they have some great
tracks going back to Pierce's previous band, Spacemen 3.
The best introduction to the first three albums is the Albert Hall live

Think I'm In Love, Medication, Shine a Light and Stop Your Crying are

I drove back to Bracknell at about midnight last night, and the A30 was
pretty bad, as was the A322 with a couple of car/central reservation
incidents.
This morning, once I got out of our road, parts of whuch were like an

Last time there was snow, it took me nearly two hours to go 15 miles.
Today was a breeze in comparison.
[1] Neighbour got a bit stuck in his LWB Transit[2], trying to get out

Bikers willy, eh?
I've been contracting since mid-July back at the place which made us
redundant and will be there until the end of January when the system is
scheduled to go live. It's for 4-days-a-week so longer weekends which
is rather nice.
L has just got a contract as well which should last 6-9 months.
Unfortunately that means she's living away from home during the week
which isn't ideal but at least it means money is now going into the

I haven't cooked properly for years.
Thanks but I have resolved to learn to cook again. As I said in my reply to

Mind you, it might be worth having something like that indoors for when I

I am quite competent in the kitchen. Sometimes I just can't be arsed to
cook so resort to ready meals or jars of pour over sauce to liven up the
