Says "the pound, also known as the bob" ... I know inflation's rife nowadays
but my understanding is that a "bob" was a shilling therefore 5p nowadays :)

I used to until they withdrew the note, a "ten bob bit" doesn't have
quite the same ring to it imho.

But owing to inflation since the real 'bob' disappeared, a current
'pahnd' will only buy what a 'bob' used to. So its anout right!
