In this British forum we read of coins being found from time to time. A
hammered silver is beyond our imagination on this side of the pond, where
metallic items are only a very few centuries old -- earlier life here was
stone and clay.
In Britain these days, besides coins being found, are any other artifacts
being found? Not necessarily another Sutton Hoo of course, but are there
any personal items being discovered, besides coins?

Amazing finds there. Dropping a powder flask during the Civil War in
1642-49 doesn't sound like a trivial event. Perhaps it was lost after the
war when hunting.
