1 If you used a PDA you could load that with MemoryMap and thence 50k or 25k OS maps -
you can set it to show pos'n in lat/long or BNG - however, it won't guide you there.
2 Use an online conversion app (loads if you Google) of BNG to lat/long. Then use that in TomTom.
3 Surely the walk organiser has given a rough idea of where the walk starts - this should get you onto the appropriate OS
paper sheet to then locate the reference? Then use the map to get there!

Garmin hand helds such as my Etrex Venture HC can be set to use the British
National Grid with no problems.
