Surrey Garden Design Group is a networking group for anyone working in or
interested in Garden Design. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month,
alternately for speaker sessions and informal discussions in member's homes.
Members are in the main working in design or landscaping but there is a good
sprinkling of non professionals.
Over the past year or so speakers have included John Brookes, David Stevens,
robin Williams, Anthony Noel, Rosemary Alexander, Julie Toll plus a host of
other "names" inaddition to local nurserymen and landscapers.
Membership is £22 per year (Jan - December) Entry to talks is free to
members.

Tues. January 11 ‘Gardens in mind’ Ivan Hicks
Landscape designer and soon-to-be presenter on Gardener’s World, Ivan
explores the mystical, surrealist and fantasy elements in garden making and
Land Art.
Tues. March 7 ‘European Perennial Planting’ Brita Von Schoenaich
International landscape architect, Brita has made an in depth study of the
exciting developments in planting with perennials taking place on the
continent, and now making waves over here.
Tues. May 9 ‘All you wanted to know about Decking, ever!’ Richard
Milner

The Timber Decking Assoc. has recently been formed to promote good
practices, innovative design and correct maintenance in the construction and
use of decking .
Tues. July 11 ‘The challenge of Chelsea’ Bunny Guinness
Winner of numerous gold medals, including last year’s stunning Portmerion
garden, Landscape architect and author, Bunny talks about preparing a show
garden and her own design philosophy.
Tues. Sept. 12 ‘Growing Vision’ Bonita Bulaitis
Renowned for her dynamic approach to modern garden design and imaginative
planting schemes, Bonita shares her unique perspective and views of
contemporary trends.
Tues. Nov. 14 ‘Water, Water.... Part 2’ Anthony archer-Wills
The bit you’ve all been waiting for! Anthony returns for a workshop session
on problems and solutions in water gardening. So have all your questions
ready!
