lot there).

There is (was, I'm afraid because it's out of print) a book called "William
Kent: Architect, Designer, Painter, Gardener, 1685-1748" by Michael I
Wilson. Sorry, I don't know the publisher or ISBN.

William Kent 1684-1748 English architect, landscape gardener, interior
designer. Worked with Burlington and pioneered the Romantic landscape
gardening eg at Stowe House in Buckinghamshire. Walpole called him the
'father of modern gardening' and he was reputed to have said ' if there is
one thing nature abhors it is a straight line'
