Do you think Guy Chapman made the Lou Knee post where he called someone a "piece of shit"? Why do you think he won't say whether he did or not? No wriggling now...if you're so sure of yourself and so right about everything then you should have no need to evade questions. Also, how do you think urcm's going? Do you see yourself posting there... more »

urcm It is using urc to do its own job
|
| |
uk.rec.cycling.moderated is using urc to manage its "mismanagement of urcm" So it seems that whenever urcm has disgruntled poster then the moderators use urc to air their opinions. I keep reading that there are suitable avenue for posters to approach the "moderators" to resolve the situation. It seems to me however that the opposite does not happen.... more »

...Beer is for barbarians ... and harlots are too for that matter. We superior types prefer wine and women of cultivation who will accompany us to the opera and the ballet. But Jones is not a genius like Ed Dolan the Great. He is infinitely inferior as witness his degraded taste in liquid refreshment... more »

for Clive efficient running of wire spoked wheels abandoned urcm
|

Urcm abandoned due to unecessary delaying and rejection of posts plus the removal of a thread with reference to an Ian Jackson posting. ...My spokes act purely in tension. ...YES, that is the nub of it. He pays no attention to the interlace crossing in its effects upon the rigidity of the wheel in either a... more »

...They stretch, which means they gain energy, as does the rim which compresses. This is a temporary store. ...Precisely. Correctly constructed there is little damping due to heat disipation. ...Yes you can make comparisons between a pnuematic tyre and a spoke/rim assembly. An answer to a cartoon of giraffes with the legend, "Giraffes have an extra heart in their necks . . . ...And dinosaurs had an extra brain in their backsides, like most London pedal cyclists, except the one in their arses is their only one.. It's pressure on this rear-mounted brain from the saddle that makes them lost all sense of... more »
