I looked at the Surrey coach crash and ran it through a Mrcheerful
program to render it into his usual inimitable style when dealing with
cycling accidents, but I just shuddered at the end result, and decided
that it was really sad and tasteless. So it was good software.

You fail to appreciate that Mr Cheerful is carrying out a valuable
public service here.

His dedication to reminding cyclists of their stupidity is to be commended.

Dave - Cyclists VOR. "Many people barely recognise the bicycle as a
legitimate mode of transport; it is either a toy for children or a
vehicle fit only for the poor and/or strange," Dave Horton, of Lancaster
University, wrote in an interim assessment of the Understanding Walking
and Cycling study. "For them, cycling is a bit embarrassing, they fail
to see its purpose, and have no interest in integrating it into their
lives, certainly on a regular basis."

But he could save hundreds more lives, if he could man up and take on
reminding motorists of their lethal stupidity.
