Halfrods bicycle pedals last one month

Is this a record? I know they are cheap at �11.99 but I would expect
them to last more than a month of light usage without breaking.

And the bearings are crap too!

Agreed 100%. I bought a cheap set, (Halfords) lasted 2 weeks, about 200
miles. Bought some slightly better ones, (Raleigh) did a month before
developing a knock. then spent �30 on a pair from a LBS in the next town,
which he assured me would be OK. They have done several hundred miles so
far without problems, so time will tell.

I bought some cheap shimmano double side spds some time ago. Recently
the clipping has been a little bit unreliable. Only eight years old and
in distance they have barely done 1 circumference of the planet. What
ever happened to quality stuff that lasted. Still maybe I'm being unfair
and I just need to buy a new set of cleats.
