I was wrong to use that language. It is offensive and is unnecessary,. It
is something that I normally do my utmost to avoid but I'm human and am
prone to making mistakes.

He also posts from work in work's time as I do, but I am not sick in
the head enough to find out where he works and to cause trouble with
his HR dept like he has done.
All to no avail of course and those shares he bought have gone
down :-)
A double failure.

Or it could be the best use of language.

I couldn't agree more. It says a great deal about a person, none of it
positive. I have asked people on this newsgroup not to swear, but
generally they have been most insulting in response. The only person
who has accepted that his language may have been a little OTT has been
Guy Chapman, who to his credit seems to have been a lot better about
it since. Change is always possible if you are prepared to work at it
and accept fault.

But I have to admit that all the swearing and trolling is enough to
make me want to leave. I can see why many others actually have.

I hope you didn't get in too much trouble, and that you are still
allowed to post from work.

I am even encouraged to post from work as they are worried that I work
too hard and take too few breaks.

So sitting at a lab bench for hours on end with your finger up your arse is
working hard is it? And BP Chemicals encourage you to use usenet do they?
That's not what I understand :-)

Yes of course you are so encouraged. Now explain why you have stopped using
the work's facilities and you have had to take a lap top in to work with a
Wi-Fi dongle in order to access the internet.

Got the message : "Access denied" did you?

Nothing to do with BP Chemicals, Saltend, Hull getting complaints at the AGM
was it?

I am sure that they told someone that:

"The person concerned has now been warned about posting in company time, and he
has promised to never do so again. However, this is the second time that he
has made this promise and he has now been made aware, in no uncertain terms, of
the dire consequences of the breaking of the promise for a second time"

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

I can see a letter coming on from someone.

Simon Mason used to post from BP Chemicals where he works.
He repeatedly said that he was wasting BP's time; and not his own
time - like other posters were.
After the BP AGM in April 2012 Mason suddenly stopped posting from
a BP IP address. People have asked why - but he won't say :-)

A souvenir medal given to Bradley Wiggins for his participation in the
Beijing Olympics was among the items stolen at the Team Sky rider's
Lancashire home in a burglary at the weekend.

QUOTE:

The news was broken on Twitter by Wiggins' wife Cath, who tweeted: "Phone
went on way back from rugby, Lancs Police informing me we'd been burgled.

"Brads participants medal from Beijing Olympics most... distinctive thing
taken so if anyone hears of it please inform police, who were brilliant this
morning.

She added: "Raging! That is all."

In response to questions raised by followers on Twitter, she the explained:
"To clarify, NOT Brads Olympic medals thank god, a participants souvenir
one. Still unpleasant enough though."

Those Olympic medals - six of them, including golds won in the individual
pursuits at Athens and Beijing, where Wiggins was also a member of the
victorious team pursuit squad - put the cyclist firmly into the list of
Britain's top ten Olympians by medals won.

The Chorley Guardian confirmed that Lancashire Police were investigating the
Burglary, with a spokesman saying: "We were called following a break-in on
May 13 at 12.03pm. We think there is damage to the property. We are looking
into it."

So far this season, Wiggins has won Paris-Nice and the Tour of Romandie and
is considered among the favourites for the Tour de France, not only due to
his form but also as a result of a parcours this year that plays to his
strengths including more than 100km of time trialling and less emphasis on
tough summit finishes in the mountains than has been seen in the past couple
of years.

The week after the Tour finishes, he is a near certainty to be part of the
Great Britain team that will aid Team Sky colleague Mark Cavendish in his
attempt to win Olympic gold in the road race, with Wiggins then having an
opportunity to add to his own collection in the individual time trial.
