Does anyone know what has happened to Kaig kit cars. My Dad has just bought
one on ebay minus the crucial instruction video, so it's currently going to
be guess work!
I have heard this is worth watching without having the kit!

If my Dad had bought a Kaig I would have put my head down and stayed shtum
in the hope that no one ever found out.

It was never designed to pass SVA. They tried to claim it was a commercial
vehicle (!!!!) which would have made it exempt. They failed to convince and
I'm not surprised. The project was shite. Simple shite. Then again so were
the rest of his products. Cheap nasty crap. I'd agree that more recent
models were better but the engineering was still questionable.
Advice - scrap the kaig. It will only make a laughing stock of you anyway.
Look at http://www.robinhoodsportscars.co.uk/
Look in the NEW cars for sale section. You will see two kaig's - one being
the original demo. Both are unregistered as they need SVA and they have no
chance of passing in the current guise.
RH sold kits for these things knowing they could not be registered in the
hope of being able to convince the authorities that they were commercial
vehicles. Any honest & sensible manufacturer would have waited for the
outcome of the argument with the SVA boys before selling kits.
Perhaps greed and stupidity ruled at RH?!

There was a smart looking Kaig at Brighton on Sunday (London-Brighton
Kit & Sportscar Run). it had been driven all the way from Wales.

As a n00b around here & to kit cars, is there any chance you could give
me the edited highlights of why not? Might give me some insight into
the SVA.
Whilst I wouldn't want one of these myself, one of the links indicates
it was originally sold as a £250 kit requiring only Metro components.
It looks to my untrained eye like the handling would be abysmal, but
I'd imagine it might be quite cost-competitive with a golf cart, if
that's what you're looking for.
Stroller.
Plenty of SVA info out there is you want/need it.

Ah yes - the light blue one fluing the Welsh flag! I've got a photo
but I don't think I've put the run on the web site for some reason.
