any ideas for this bird? 
  I was driving home last week (I live in SE Sheffield) when a bird caught my eye flying over the road. There were Carrion Crows and Herring Gulls too but my first thought (I couldn't watch it as I had just crossed a traffic light junction) was 'heron', because of it's langorous flight. Just spotted my first ever Black Redstart 
  Black Redstart in my back garden. I understand these are quite rare. Surprises me because the amount of bloody cats in my neighbourhood I very rarely see a sparrow :o) MC

Late Nesting Wagtail? 
  I was in Limerick on Wednesday. Driving from Shannon airport into town, I noticed a female pied wagtail perched on concrete road construction blocks. Lots of nice holes and crevices.
