Has anyone successfully used a Juwel aquarium (e.g. Rio 300) for a
marine (fish only) system?
I'd like to use a sump and would want to drill the tank for an
overflow. How easy & safe is this and who might do it for me?
Could the internal filter serve a useful purpose and could it be
relocated in the sump?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I've got a Trigon set up as a marine.

Ah... I didn't need to do any of the as mine is a temperate marine.

That's the only thing I've got running my tank, apart from the cooler.
Now there is a thing for the marine people out there.. How come I can
run this tank with a heavy bio load (fish and invertebrates) only using
Juwels own filter?? I do a 5 gallon water change every 3 weeks and the
water in the tank is in better condition than the Firth of Clyde where I
have collected most of my stuff :-(
