In essence a reef is a doddle to start up, you just need loads of money.
Reckon on:
Tank (cheap!)
Skimmer (essential IMO)
Lights
Chiller (if the lights are halides)
Calcium Reactor (if you re keeping hard corals and you will)
Heater Stat
Power heads (maxijets are good)
wave maker
Live Rock
A decent substrate
RO water
Reef Crystals
Test Kits
a few supplements
and Bingo £1,000 at least spent!
