Network Rail dual road-rail vehicle

I have not seen this particular type around before, we usually see Land Rovers here, though the number plate is 2012 (I think).
When I first saw it parked near my car I thought I thought it was one of the raised stunt vehicles that you see driving over cars!

All First Scotrail services from Dumbarton Central to Balloch

Tickets on mobiles.

In the few cases where experiments have occurred with tickets on mobiles (Chiltern?) how does the ticket get transmitted? Is it a text message (doubtful if the "ticket" is a bar code of some kind). Or is it an e-mail (with an attachment?). Or something else?
