I wonder if you can help me. I am getting concerned about complaints
recieved regarding RSGB HQ not replying to members enquiries. I
understand from one of the Newgroups you were dealing with a member who
resigned due to not having his enquiry dealt with. I don't have his name
as they use silly 'handles' on the newsgroup.
I'm trying to get an idea on the size of the problem.

that was interesting! .......
Gerry ....
Yep Jim but it wasn't meant to go here. Well not yet anyway. Sorreeeee!
I've had a few comment on here about it so I want to know the extent of
the problem, hence a poll of the RMs. As I have said before not
answering a members reply is not acceptable.
Nice try!I like it, but you're fooling no one. :-)
good man...you are doing a fine job ......
silly handles? ...... are you not getting confused with Cb?....... felt you
were kinda talking down to them there ........like They use silly radios on
this planet .............
tee hee beat me to it ! ................
unlike the RSGB ......
No I'm Spartacus ! Is just that easy to do, Nick.
Well look art the purpose of a CB handle then look at the purpose of
using nick names here. Notice any similarities, an attempt to hide who
they are? Not you Jim, unlike most you don't hide who you are.
Tip of an iceberg springs to mind...

Well that's what I'm trying to find out.
Yes I am actually but not for the reason you think. I'm just sorry that
someone is going to get a load of unwanted emails because of a mistake
I made.

could have been much worse.
Hee he heee!
I've got it but I've never been that keen on it. Perhaps this is the
incentive to give it another try.

woops another Mason ........The RSGB must be infested with them !!!
.............
I don't think I've helped any! ;-(
As you said it could have been much worse. I was doing planning stuff
earlier just prior and that had personal info. I think I'll need to take
up Nick's suggestion and use Agent for the NG.
burning bright
There's a lot of them in Scotland why should the RSGB in Scotland be any
different.
google "control cancel" if you want to delete NG postings.

Amateur Radio - social networking since 1897
Don't lose any sleep over it, Len. Did something similar in another forum,
about four years ago.
No doubt, the "usual suspects" will continue to take the piss, until they
find something else to amuse themselves with... Probably a bit more Brian
baiting, as we haven't had any for at least 10 minutes.
tox
What's wrong with Brian baiting? He's on the general licence...
not out of season, and a well known pest.
Who'd want to bait Brian when his duty shift is being done for him by Len?
10 minutes - how time goes! - Brian you are a dastardly man who has
ruined the hobby for ever and made false accusations about me and others
to further your aims.

the building industry is infested with them ....... I see the handshake all

this bloke at least they don't make a secret of it ........

Dam it you've rumbled our plan!
I get the odd knuckle crunch but very seldom. I've even given the odd

I thought so, sorry :-)

Anyone care to comment?
Bit of a long shot, don't you think? Both the areas you mention are
about 100 miles from Lowestoft!
That would make sense as Crystal Palace is line of sight from there.

Mason/not a mason, councillor/not a councillor it make no difference to
me either way. They get what they're entitle to, no more, no less. That
way no accusation can be made against you.
I've got a nice little scam going at work. If I don't mess things up too
badly they pay me a half decent salary every 4 weeks and final pension
scheme at 60. I ain't putting that at risk for anyone.
Len GM0ONX
Not as good as the scam as some have going. Free car. Loads a money. No need
to work. All you need is some vague medical condition.
like being a 2M0 ......
No joy on the dial a girl service tonight Steve?
Tell us more about your vague medical condition.

Amuse yourself by running your own newsgroup.
Isn't that a bit like talking to yourself?
Huh?
My wife keeps me happy enough. How about you, do you have a wife or even
a boyfriend to keep you happy zeroaurora?

You're sooooh out of touch with fashion - he's not bald - it's a

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh He does look rather Pretty
Don't use him for the dart board , he could land up rather HOLY
And NOT suitable for Nick

A Brazilian is performed to a certain part of the body..... are you
saying Tox is one of those?
Go to the head of the class.

It would explain a lot

Steve Terry
Like most of the misfits you don't sound like a happily married man.
what ? .... that the RSGB is hotching with them ? ..........
So, I've got the same one as you then.... unknown. :)
We'll that was the point of the email Walt
Honest Walt I'm not a knuckle cruncher but I do know the handshake
me neither but have seen it at meetings, interviews etc ..........where ever
favour and advancement can be gained ........
Steve Terry
It does ........ A man had been convicted of murder and was about to be
hanged. Just before the sentence was executed, the hangman asked the man if
he had any last words. "Yes" came his reply, "I hate Masons!" "Why do you
hate Masons?" asked the hangman. "The man I killed was a Mason," explained
the murderer, "the sheriff who hunted me down was a Mason, the Prosecutor
who tried my case was a Mason, the Judge who presided at the trial was a
Mason, and all of the men on the jury who found me guilty and said I should
be hanged were Masons!" "Is that all?" asked the hangman, " "Yes" replied
the convicted murder. "Then you will advance one step with your left foot."

Truly hilarious! Of course GB3LO was the original LOndon repeater that
became GB3SL. Many places in the Croydon area have line of sight to the
Alexandria Palace TV towers, and it was on one of them. You could see it
from my bedroom window in Carshalton. Anything in Lowestoft can only be a
pale imitation.
The old LO was before my time, but I do personally remember one Christmas
when we suddenly had an extra London repeater, because someone had put a
pirate repeater on the air with the old GB3LO call.

A sort of ech-LO-link then....
