Is it fair to have a pop at the Christian Zionists?
Damn right it is. These extremists are consulted by the Bush adminitration in formulating policy. This phenomenon is a testament to the power of large groups of stupid people.
While perhaps the majority of McLabour supporters may not recognise Christian Zionism as a Has-Been New Labour concept, it is central to the Bush and Bliar's so-called "War on Terror" and the reasons for initiating an illegal, unprovoked war against Iraq and their foreign policy objectives in the Middle-East.
There is a degree of support for the connntention that Bliar is a Dispensationalist Christian fruitcake e.g. praise of the Scottish Presbetarians, statements that all Christians face a day of reckoning, his Jewish Middle-East crony, etc. However, it is not strictly necessary that Bliar shares these beliefs - it is enough that he pursues their extremist biblical nonsense by supporting their religious wars.
Christian Zionism / Dispensationalism - a Has-Been New Labour Loony Concept. The British electorate and many New Labour supporters and members are going to reject this extreme biblical nonsense.
