This supposedly left-wing paper has become a front-window of
petro-imperialist agitation that, notwithstanding the debacle of "Iraqi
WMD", "Western" (read Anglo-Saxon) "intelligence" is nonetheless
recycling for use against the next Mideast oil target.

True, they're being a bit cleverer about it this time; they aren't
saying Iran's GOT the weapons, merely that it is trying to make/get
them. That way, they won't have to explain why they can't find any
actual weapons once they've invaded.

(They actually use the WMD word in this article)

True again, President Amadinejad is behaving almost as if he's in the
pay of Anglo-Saxon petro-imperialism;. Though the Iranian regime
continues to deny -- much good will it do them! -- any nuclear-weapons
ambitions.

Now here's a letter to the Guardian from Prof John Sloboda (of the
Oxford Research Group), which the paper, in all fainess to it, has
published, "IRAN INTELLIGENCE IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY":

With this, at least, we can agree.

Sloboda is a common-or-garden academic lefty. He'd rather see Iran with
nukes than Iran bombed. So much for him...

Just because Stalin was a commie, it didn't mean Hitler was a goody. ;-)

Why Has the UK Guardian Become a Mouthpiece of Invade-Iran
Agitprop?...................

Simple. In recent years the Guardian/Observer has been increasingly
taken over by New Labourites, zionists, and neo-cons. David Aaronovitch
(now gone to the equally neo-con Times) and Nick Cohen to name but two
of many.

It's little more than a New Labour propaganda sheet these days
benefiting from millions of pounds in tax-payers money for those
thousands of adverts for public sector non-jobs.

I suppose that's why its lost thousands of readers many departed for
the drippy, PC but anti-war Independent.

And how long before the Independent's editor goes the way of the
Mirror's, set up as a liar, a homophobe, a paedophile, or whatever can
be most "credibly" brought against him?

A better aphorism to offer academics is: just because Hitler was a baddy,
doesn't make Stalin a goody.

I wish people would stop using this West-Coast invented left-wing political

Three three phases of totalitarian imperialism:- the Nazi (1933-45),
the Soviet (1945-1986), and -- we as yet lack a similar name --
ourselves, the Ameican/"Anglo-Saxon" (2001-.....).

There are two possible responses:

1. They're not people
2. They are so challenged, verbally and cognitively,
that their highest-level functioning is as parrots for
the less intelligent and less educated portions of
mass media.
