Biofuels are causing a world food crisis!

Dear UK Friends,

Biofuels are worse for the environment than using imported oil and
much more expensive than fuels made from imported oil. Biofuel
production methods speed global warming, topsoil erosion, and the
gradual desertification of our planet. Biofuels also cause water
shortages, and our politicians know all of this but don't seem to
care. What is wrong with them?

The United States Congress and the EU are in effect drilling the human
food supply for energy! The United Nations Food and Agriculture
Organization states that global food prices increased 40% in 2007
alone! Biofuels are causing world wide food price hyperinflation and
the food price spiral has just begun.

BIOFUELS = SKY HIGH FOOD BILLS!

BIOFUELS = FASTER GLOBAL WARMING!

On December 19th, 2007, when the United States Congress voted for
massive increases in biofuel production during a time of worldwide
food price hyperinflation, the message they gave the low income people
of the world was very clear; LET THEM EAT BIOFUEL! Is the
unintentional starvation and environmental Armageddon inflicted on the
world by thoughtless American politicians any more morally excusable
than war crimes committed by dictators during times of war?
