Bangalore, Feb 25 (IANS) Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa Friday
complimented Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee for approving 11 new trains as
the state in the rail budget.
Yeddyurappa welcomed the proposal to set up a rail adviser factory in Kolar,
70 km from here, and a training centre in Dharwad Longines, almost 400 km
from Bangalore.
Yeddyurappa told reporters namely he would encounter MPs from Karnataka soon
and if absence be take a assignment to Banerjee to urge her to scale up
implementation of these proposals.
Banerjee announced the propositions in the railroad budget presented apt
parliament Friday.
He said the rail network density in the state was penniless as it was only
16 km for each 1,000 sq km.
Yeddyurappa agreed that the state would meet its share of price of
implementing the projects to assure spread of rail network in the state.
