Hammond (2003) has discovered, proved and published the
fact that the "God of the Bible" is caused by the Secular
Trend growth deficit, specifically the human brain-growth

Meanwhile, this scientific proof of the existence of God
does NOT PROVE that there is such a thing as "life after
death", so I am currently investigating that question.
While Hammond has shown that such a thing as a literal
Afterlife is certainly scientifically physically possible:

there remains a fundamental conscptual stumbling block to
the theory of the Afterlife.
The stumbling block is this: It is well known that the
"purpose" of the Afterlife is to see the "Beatific
Vision"... that is.. to achieve a "Beatific Body"... in this
case a 100%-fully grown-body without any Secular Trend
growth deficit. But the problem is: If the body has never
been fully grown during life then how could it possible
"dream up" such a body in the Afterlife.
So, recently I've been working on the problem of how the
body could, even theoretically, conjure up a "fully grown
body" in an Afterlife scenario.
While revisiting the phenomenon of "Phantom limbs" I
suddenly got the idea that maybe there could be such a thing
as an complete "phantom body" caused by the Secular Trend
growth deficit itself!
In a phantom limb phenomenon the Phantom is caused by the
fact that the motor sensory brain structure still exists
while the limb itself no longer exists. In the case of an
overall growth deficit part of the body certainly does not
exist, although it is a growth attenuation and not an
amputation.
But the problem is that one would expect that the body and
the brain would both attenuate proportionately thus leaving
us no reason to think that the brain would create a phantom.
Well- lo and behold I remembered something called "brains
sparing" in cases of malnutrition and so I revisited that
research. Sure enough, there seems to be something called
for want of a better name "Barker's Law" (1993). Professor
Barker has established that during early childhood
malnutrition:

"Muscle growth is sacrificed
to preserve brain growth".
(Barker, 1993)

and this fact has been overwhelmingly confirmed by
subsequent medical research.
In other words the malnourished growth swtunted person
winds up with proportionately more brain cells than muscle
cells... same as in the case of amputation! So sure enough
here is a clear-cut mechanism whereby the person
experiencing a growth deficit could experience a "Phantom
body" similar to the case of amputation.
Meanwhile, it appears that I am not the first one to
connect the existence of phantom limb phenomena with the
possibility of a "phantom body"and the fact that it might
explain God and life after death. Specifically, consider
this citation:

"Lord Nelson, after losing his right arm during an
attack on Tenerife in 1797, experienced intense
phantom limb pain, including the bizarre sensation
of invisible fingers digging into his phantom palm*
and this experience led him to claim that through
the empirical reality of his pain he had "direct
proof" of the experience of the realm of the soul,
"... for if an arm can survive physical annihilation,
why not the whole person?""

So, it turns out that I am of the same opinion as Lord
Nelson. And I certainly am no less than awestruck that one
of the most brilliant, sane and courageous men in the
history of the Western world discovered the idea from actual
direct experience 150 years before I was born!
Nelson, I think, was right; God is a phantom body, and
being a phantom body could very well continue to exist after
death!
I am actively pursuing this line of research at the
present.

*Note: Since Nelson's time the phenomena of clenched
fingers digging into the palm of the amputated hand has been
reported by many thousands of amputee war veterans.
