With Christopher Hitchens' death yesterday, atheism has lost one of its
greatest proponents, politics a great iconoclast, and literature a fine
writer.
His book 'God is not Great' stands, with Dawkins's 'The God Delusion' and
Sam Harris's 'The End of Faith', as the three most outspoken and telling
criticisms of religion since the Baron d'Holbach's 'Good Sense' some 250
years ago.
The religiose must be sighing with relief.
