to be a side effect, at least a side effect if Tramadol is causing it.
being the age I am, I like to have, and some days have need of, a siesta of
an afternoon. only the one hour usually, and just dozing if that.
I sometimes drop off of an evening when watching the rugby and then go to
bed.
with my knee and spine as they are, I have been taking a couple of trams
about an hour before bed, to give them time to cut in, to deaden things so
as to let me get to sleep.
this past week or so I have been laying there and still not sleeping or even
feeling like sleep, I get up about 2 am and sit in the chair.
the following day/night the same routine and being so tired at bed I go off
after a couple of hours, and sleep until about 5 am.
out of curiosity this past week I have forsaken the trams, and have gone off
to sleep within the hour, and slept up to about 6.
I wonder if the trams are stopping me sleeping? nothing else has changed

cain't help you with trams mate, but if it is of interest, I get allsorts of
strange effects from my cocktail.

Yes, I do, but when I have to take them I get prepared for disturbed nights
and often feeling as though I had drunk 3 or 4 cups of strong coffee.

Very weird stuff is Tramadol. My OH had this eighteen months ago when
lived other house... He was positively hallucinating all hours of the day--
he had to take thwem at night, before bed-- would waken two, three four
times asking strange questions- opne was- when are we going home-- and well
where are we-- etc. It was very disturbing. Effects seemed to stay in hime
for two or three weeks, Doctor took him off them. Hes got spinal trouble as
well... Told by one Doc- have a good drink of Red wine before bedtime, and
we'll lower your Warfarin,,,,
On other hand our cousin has had very bad Shingles --- still much in
pain after 3 months- her Doc put her onto Tramadol AND Amytriptolene, day
and night. It just about gets her through. Hope its solved for you soon,

Tramadol gives me the shakes and makes me feel slightly 'high' or spaced
out kind of feeling, however it was the one thing that really killed my
pain. Thankfully I no longer need it as have found alternatives that don't
have weird side effects. Tell your Doc and hopefully they can prescribe
something that suits you better.

thankfully I do not have to take them as a matter of course, only as and
when. I shall tell him. I have others which are VG painkillers, but can
hurt my stomach.
as I say, they are only as and when, but, the choice is pain or PK ?

I recently declined Tramadol from my GP cos they always made me sick, so he
gave me a prescription for Co-Dydramol instead. Phew - I brought me boots up
after I'd taken my 5th and 6th tablets. I've still got three boxes of the
things here if anyone wants them:((((
