I imagine smokey bacon would be safer but I have no
scientific proof.
From http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8017585.stm:
"Is it safe to eat pig meat?
Yes. There is no evidence that swine flu can be transmitted through
eating meat from infected animals.
However, it is essential to cook meat properly. A temperature of 70C
would be sure to kill the virus."
This is a question that needs to be addressed - there are enough health
risks in a packet of smokey bacon flavour Wotsits as it is, without adding
swine flu to the list of noxious ingredients.
Personally, I'm taking no chances - visits to my Mother in Law have been
curtailed until the emergency is over.
Can Muslims catch swine flu, or is it haram?

The real problem with this new outbreak of Swine flu
is it has jumped to being human to human infectious.
So watch out for people who look unwell and avoid contact
Good thing about quickly mutating viruses like this one,
is they tend to mutate to a safe form within 6 months

Generally, you're far from correct.
Viruses have a range of thermal stability and those which have
Archaebacteria as hosts have been found to be stable at temperatures
closer to boiling than to 37C. SARS-associated corona virus has been
determined to be infective up to 51 days post-mortem, and SVD, foot and
mouth, bluetongue and other significant veterinary viruses have been
discovered in pasteurised serum and cooked meats.

I wouldn't make such a statement, not even with the addition of a
question mark, presumably indicating your real uncertainty about the
apparently definitive statements you are making.

Bullshit.

So it is contaminated and you can catch it from bacon.
Cheers I am back on the Turkey
You buy bacon precooked????

Turkeys can't fly, they are not birds.

Russia bans Arizona pork, California, Mexican meats in response to swine flu
But you do have a point, bird flu is mostly prevalent in water birds
like ducks and geese
Steve Terry
"Swine flu" has nothing to do with pigs this time around.
Presumably when "Red Flu" came to Britain in the 1970s people should
have avoided Manchester United[1] and copies of Mao's book?
[1] Always a good idea.
Turkeys can fly and it looks spectacular on a wide-screen telly watching
them.
Wide-screen tellies are fantastic, great invention.

Presumably while drinking a half_pint of beer.

Would eating wild boar be safe, or should you kill it first?
How were you planning to eat it without killing it?

One bite at a time.
If you eat it before it's dead, it'll definitely be wild.

Maybe some can, and some can't:
"the "Turkey Drop," where live wild turkeys are dropped out of a
low-flying airplane [...] The problem is that wild turkeys can't fly
very well. Some of the birds would splat on the pavement."
