The Services Development Helpdesk is provided by the Services
Department Resources Team. The information we can provide is designed
to support the work of those who research‚ plan‚ deliver‚ develop and
monitor services for older people.
We use the collective experience of Age Concern to highlight good
practice and innovations‚ as well as the relevant national policies
and trends. We produce publications available to any individual or
organisation interested in the provision of services to older people
to assist with starting and developing services.
What can we provide?
The information we provide is tailored as closely as possible to your
needs. This may be a simple summary of existing services‚ including
contact details or more detailed information about service provision.
You may only be interested in a particular region or a particular
target group. Our detailed services classification system enables both
broad and very specific enquiries to be answered regarding service
provision. We also undertake research and surveys across the whole of
Age Concern.
Who is the Service Development helpdesk?
Anyone who:
is running a service; or is monitoring‚ reviewing‚ researching
‚ planning‚ funding‚ developing or supporting services for older
people;
needs to be put in touch with an Age Concern service provider;
is interested in the overall provision of particular services;
has a question about services for older people.
