Hi

I'm trying to locate an old friend, who may have joined the Royal Marines
circa 1983.

We grew up together in the mid 1970s at RAF Driffield in East Yorkshire.

His father was in the Royal Corps of Transport, while my dad was in the RAF.

Tony arrived in Driffield in 1976 before moving to Cardiff circa 1980.

He returned with his parents to RAF Leconfield circa 1982.

I was told he joined the Royal Marines in 1983

He has two sisters.

Anyone knwo what happend to him?

he will be 34 this coming week (Sept. 14th)

Kind Regards

Phillip Rhodes

Hi Phillip

Looked up my records but don't have him, it is a bit too soon for him to
get involve with looking for his old mates.
However, just in case he has joined an Association, you could try the
folowing,

41 Independent Commando Royal Marines. Frederick C. Hayhurst, 3
Caernarvon Gardens, Plymouth. PL2 2RY

44 Royal Marine Commando (3RM) Reunion. H.J.Phillips `Wychwood` 3
Hocombe Wood Road, Chandlers Ford, Hampshire. SO53 5PN.

45 Royal Marine Commando (1943/45 Vintage) Association Harry Sullivan,
Highfield, Withinlee Road, Prestbury, Cheshire. SK10 4AT.

Or put an avert on Service Pals, Channel 4 page 682, or
write to the Royal Marines magazine Globe and Laurel, or
put an entry in the looking for old shipmates in Navy News or
write to the local newspaper which covered the area at RAF Driffield in
East Yorkshire with a Letter to the Editor, 'Does anyone know where he
is now?' Someone may know that he now lives in Australia, 'and I will
forward your letter to him'. Don't laugh, that has happened to me and
how I have found people!!

Good luck

Mike :-))
